Why should we and why should we not be ready for change?

“Adapt to a world of constant change”

We hear this phrase constantly and is perhaps due to the great truth that it proposes. I once read in a book by Daniela Rivera Zacharias, that the only three things we have sure in life are:

1. We born
2. We die
3. Things change

Life is not static. It does not have a perfect formula to understand it and not even to solve all the problems it presents. Humans are not kids forever, we leaving behind adolescence, reluctantly we become adults and when we least expect: we are elders who see the life we have built pass before our eyes.

And then, landing more specific topics I wonder: if we are aware of all this, if I am not telling you anything new... why we continue criticizing those decisions that our representatives and leaders from various fields are taking in response to these changes? Why do we keep criticizing movements that develop the great institutions of our countries trying to keep moving?

To continue with my message, I should clarify first: I'm not against conduct critical analyzes or express them publicly. However, I must denote the difference: externalize our opinions in a reasoned way is not the same to just "talk" as well says the writer Martin Merida: "if a critical exaggerates it is not longer critical and becomes pure verbiage pretending to play the fool with whom, having a brain allows being manipulated by ideas that are not weighed by reason. "

I think that if we want to accept and well participate in change, we need to denote this difference and just in that moment, only when we consider the difference of these two concepts, only then, we realize that both: being a direct participant as being a spectator carry the same burden of responsibility. And only then, we give it a fair weight to both actions (or at least that's what I would expect). Because we can be an spectator just for a moment. Because life asks us, life requires us to take action on change.

New educational models, new regulatory laws, new ways to report crimes. All new, all restless, all unmoved. This is where I wonder what is the only thing that remains constant? Who are the only ones that are still present in every one of these situations? We are: people, individuals, citizens, human beings.

Because institutions are not formed by horses, chickens and birds. The institutions are formed by people and will not change a single overnight. To change, people must change first. And there is bad news, because after all, like it or not, things will change invariably. But we must take into account, we should try that change happen with us making us aware that we are part of that change, which is nothing more than an extensive process with no magic formulas.

I am not advocating or underestimated or overestimated any idea, I just wonder, I just invite reflection, analysis rather than criticism. I only invite that even though or we disagree on many things, keep in mind that systems like humans grow and develop on the basis of falls and mistakes. And we have to consider that our "chatter" do not help nothing. Both we can be active participants and spectators, but we must act responsibly and take on both positive and negative consequences of our actions and stand. Above all: enduring. Because independent we want or we are interested in, life changes and take us with it, yet we are prepared or not.
